While I was interning in the Planning Department at Y&R Auckland I worked on the new business pitch for Cigna Life Insurance, and they got the account!  Pretty exciting stuff.

BBDO has a new unit called Batten and Company that helps clients understand changing consumer behaviors.  Well done, BBDO.

The ad agency Mother got Wes Anderson and Roman Coppola to direct this ad for Stella Artois.  It is so great Check it out!  :D

One of my Professors shared this artists work with us in class one day.  Deb Todd Wheeler used old Boston Globe delivery bags to make this piece of art.  From far away the image is of the ocean, but up close you can make out the individual crumpled up bags.  She scanned each individual block of this image and then assembled them.  This is one of those pieces that is truly awe inspiring.  Talk about creativity, wow.

I found this artist on the Miller Block Gallery website.  Her work is so pretty.  I love her careful use of color.  The drawings are so detailed; you can spend quite a while looking through the window at the micro landscapes.  Almost all of her series’ have a piece called, “Birthday” and they always look so sad.  All of her work has an aspect of sadness or loneliness to it, but the birthday drawings are just depressing. She is definitely one of my favorites!
